The Illinois legislation for bar and tavern gaming in Illinois requires that a gaming manufacturer, like IGT, sell its machines and products through a distributor. A distributor buys, sells, leases or distributes video gaming terminals, major components, or parts to an operator. As the owner of the video gaming terminals, the operator is responsible for servicing and maintaining the terminals for placement in a location. Examples of a licensed location include bars, restaurants, truck stops, and fraternal and veterans' organizations.
